Use Backup Schedule to setup an automatic backup routine, like daily at 6pm. CopyCat works automatically in the background backing up files as often as you set. Schedule the times to back up and CopyCat does the rest.
Smart: If your computer was turned off at the time of a scheduled backup, the backup will automatically commence when you're back online.

NEW!! Now you can set CopyCat to backup files as soon as they've changed. CopyCat’s synchronization method backs up files the second they are created or modified. Ever overwrite a file or forget to hit save? CopyCat takes ‘snap-shots’ of your work so you can go back and choose which file version to restore.
The Sync Backup feature is currently not available for
MAC OSX.

Following the initial backup, CopyCat makes incremental backups, copying just the files that have been added or changed since your last backup. This makes subsequent backups lightning fast and more efficient. When CopyCat detects a changed file, it looks inside the file to see what 'bits' have actually changed, and only sends the necessary data, not the entire file all over again. This saves you time and internet usage.

In the event of needing to recover your files, they are only 3 clicks away. You can choose to recover a single file/s, a folder/s, or an entire recovery.

Disaster-proof email protection. CopyCat knows if you are using Outlook or Outlook Express and makes simple to backup and restore all their important files.

Say you accidentally deleted or overwrote a file you meant to save. Our Time Machine feature allows you to specify which file version from a previous backup you want to restore. Simply enter the Restore browser and select the file version you want to restore. Select the location to restore to, then click Start Restore to bring it back to the present.
RETENTION PERIOD
CopyCat retains your backed up files for the period you select. The built-in file retention policy allows you to access multiple versions of the same file or even deleted files from your backup set. Backup files are put into a retention area before they are removed from the server.
If you want to get back a deleted file (or you want to get back previous versions of updated files) within the retention period, these files will always be available in the retention area. This feature is particularly useful when you have accidentally deleted a file or incorrectly updated a file within the file retention period (the file retention period is user customizable).

CopyCat will back up your files whether they're in-use or not, including Outlook PST files. This ensures all your files are backed up, not just the ones that are conveniently available. By using Microsoft's Volume Shadow Service, CopyCat preserves your Outlook files and any documents you are working on at the time of backup.

Even if you're using a computer offline, or your internet's lights go out, CopyCat will still backup up your computer. When you're back online it will send the data to our servers for safe keeping. When traveling and/or conducting business where internet connection is not always guaranteed, CopyCat will backup your data regardless. When an internet connection is not detected your data will be backed up to a local temporary folder. The next time you connect to the internet your data will be backed up to our secure servers.

CopyCat allows you to backup to a local location as well as our Data Centres. This means in the event of file loss, large files can be restored from your local copy rather than downloaded from the internet, meaning faster restore times and less bandwidth use.

Completing a large (e.g. 20GB) initial backup online through your Internet connection can be a very lengthy task. So CopyCat gives you the option to send the first full backup to us through an external USB Hard Drive (portable media). We'll even courier one to you. You'll use the Local Copy feature to complete the initial backup, then send the USB Hard Drive back to us.
Seed loading is secure because all the information is encrypted before it is stored on the portable media and can only be decrypted with your encryption key.
Once the first full backup is loaded onto the backup server via portable media, all your subsequent backups will be able to run in a timely manner. This is because the Incremental backup feature only requires new or changed files to be backed up.
With a CopyCat Initial backup, you can have all your data backed up quickly.
